Pokémon

The original Pokémon games are Japanese role-playing video games with an element of strategy, and were created by Satoshi Tajiri for the Game Boy. The Pokémon series began with the release of Pocket Monsters Red and Green for the Game Boy in Japan. When these games proved extremely popular, an enhanced Blue version was released sometime after, and the Blue version was reprogrammed as Pokémon Red and Blue for international release. Afterwards, a second enhanced remake, Pokémon Yellow, was released to use the color palette of the Game Boy Color and more of a stylistic resemblance to the popular Pokémon anime. This first generation of games introduced the original 151 species of Pokémon (in National Pokédex order, encompassing all Pokémon from Bulbasaur to Mew), as well as the basic game concepts of capturing, training, battling and trading Pokémon with both computer and human players. These versions of the games take place within the fictional Kanto region, though the name "Kanto" was not used until the second generation.

Famicom
Серия начиналась на первой приставке от Nintendo, на NFC (на NES не выходили) вышли первые Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei I и II (а также в последствии Last Bible III). 
Last Bible
Затем был запуск ответвления с подзаголовком Last Bible для портативных консолей NGB, GBA и SGG, третья из четырех вышла на NFC. Официально переводилась только первая часть с изменением названия на Revelations: The Demon Slayer.
Super Famicom
Затем пришла Super Famicom, на которой вышли новые (Shin) части серии Shin Megami Tensei I и II, тактическое ответвление Majin Tensei и Majin Tensei II: Spiral Nemesis, римек первых двух игр на NFC - Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei, а также одиночное ответвление Shin Megami Tensei if... Обе номерные серии, а также if сейчас переизданы на планшетах.
Sega Saturn
На этой консоли начиналась серия Devil Summoner в виде 2 первых игр Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (переиздавалась на PS в 2005) и Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (переиздавалась на PS в 1999 и 3DS в 2013 наконец с переводом), которые продолжились потом на PS2. А также вышла третья игра серии Majin Tensei, названная просто - Ronde. Все оригиналы выходили только в японии.
PlayStation
Здесь начиналась серия Persona с выпуском первых двух частей - Revelations: Persona и Persona 2. Последняя была разделена на: Innocent Sin (которая не переводилась до 2011 года) и Eternal Punishment. Обе игры были преризданы на PSP с переводом. 3 и 4 части вышли в последствии на PS2. В японии на PS также переиздавались Shin Megami Tensei I, II, if, а также первая ипостась ответвления Devil Children.
Devil Children и NINE

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children - детское ответвление мрачной RPG ориентированное на портативные приставки. Black Book/Red Book/White Book и Book of Light/Book of Dark выходили на GBC, Book of Fire/Book of Ice и Messiah Riser - на GBA. Официально переводилась только Книга Света и Тьмы. Первая часть в японии переиздавалась на PS. Примерно в это же время на Xbox в японии вышел эксклюзив Shin Megami Tensei: NINE.

PS2

Золотые годы серии. Здесь нашли свое продолжение 3 ее ответвления. Во-первых это номерная Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (Maniax (Lucifer's Call)), во-вторых - Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 (+FES) и 4 (последняя на данный момент, P5 выйдет в 2016 на PS4). В-третьих продолжение PS-дилогии Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner вышло в 2 сериях: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army и Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon. А также началась новое шикарное ответвление Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 и 2. Все игры выходили на английском языке.

Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine выходила в 2008 году на PC.

Nintendo handhelds and upcoming releases

Все последние игры серии вернулись к тому, с кем начинали - Nintendo и выходят на ее портативах. Вышло новое ответвление: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 1 и 2 (NDS, 3DS). Номерная Shin Megami Tensei продолжилась сначала без номера - Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey (NDS), а затем и с номером - Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS). Вышла экспериментальная Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (3DS). На подходе Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (Genei Ibun Roku # FE) (WiiU '15-'16), а также Persona 5 на PS4. А я все никак не добью первую.
